Summer Volleyball

Season: Every Monday night starting July 22, 2024 through September 30th, 2024

Registration Open: May 26th, 2024 through July 8st, 2024

The summer sand volleyball league is a 9-week season, with a week for tournament play at the conclusion. We will be offering open enrollment for teams to play at most two hours during the 730 &  830 time slots. We are listing this as a Semi-Competitive league but all skill levels are encouraged to sign up to play!  Let's get out and enjoy some Summer sun! We can list your team as semi-competitive and competitive, but during weekly play everyone will play each other. It will only break down when it comes to tournament night at the end of the 9 weeks.

Here is a breakdown of our previous skill levels:

-- 7:30 pm:  Semi-Competitive -- All teams attempt to use 3 hits and better the ball at every opportunity.  Defensive systems are organized and should be able to keep most non-hard driven balls in play.  All players have some idea of the basic rules and can do most of the basic volleyball skills at an intermediate level. (Pass/Dig/Set/Hit/Block/Serve)

-- 8:30 pm: Competitive -- All teams are able to use 3 hits and convert any non-heavy driven ball into an attack most of the time.  Teams have solid defense and passing and are able to adjust their strategies based on the opponent they are playing.  Unforced errors are rare. Players have a pretty good understanding of the rules are able to call most of their own rule violations when playing.
