2017 Fall Volleyball

Please read as some things have changed this year

**This year where we will be offering 4 leagues: Social, B, BB, and A. Please make sure that you read each league description carefully to ensure that your team gets registered for the correct league. Due to our increased interest in our leagues space is very limited. Once max registration is reached you will be put on a wait list, you will be contacted if a space opens for your team to play. Also please know that in order to balance our leagues and our skill levels that some teams maybe moved from one league to another. This will be determined by last years standings of the team. Team Captains if you sign up less than 5 people, the league will assign a 6th player from our individual list. The team captain from the team will be contacted if either of these occurs. If you are an individual signing up without a team please know that there may be a chance that we will have no slots available to put you onto a team. If this happens, any fees you have paid will be refunded and you can be added to a sub-list to play as teams may need members from time to time. **

Games will be played from Aug 20th 2017 through Nov 12th, 2017 from 6 PM to 10 PM on Sunday evenings, except for Labor Day Sunday which will not have any games played.  Games are held at The Volleyball Academy.

Welcome to the Volleyball season registration page. If you are signing up as an individual without a team, please select Register (Individual) and follow the registration process. If you are a team captain signing up your team, please select Register (Group) and sign up 2 or more team members. Please ensure you choose the correct skill level equivalent to the correct league. An explain of each league is listed in the registration process.

Please read the skill levels before signing up your team to ensure that your team is in the correct league.

Social: A fun and recreational league where teams aren't so organized and structured. Only the most egregarious rules violations are called.

B1 Level: All teams attempt to use 3 contacts (bump, set, spike) on almost every offensive possession. Teams are starting to begin to learn the rules of the game as well as working on their ball control. Individuals who have never played volleyball before, but are looking to play at a more competitive level should start in this league.

B Level: Teams are now very comfortable using 3 contacts (bump, set. spike) on almost every offensive possession. Teams may start to have dedicated setters and hitters while they learn the rules/positioning of the game. Players are learning how to transition back and forth between offense and defense. At least one player on the team should be well versed in the rules (and basic strategies) of volleyball. Players may start to specialize in their position of being a setter or hitter. Individuals in this league should be able to serve over the net almost all the time and consistently pass free balls over to their setter.

BB Level: Teams should be extremely comfortable running some form of perimeter defense. Players now have specialized roles in being a hitter or setter. Setters should be able to set the ball with little to no spin upon release. Hitters should be able to consistently hit the ball in a downwards motion. Teams may start to run a 5-1 or 6-2 offense and practicing set plays. (Intermediate to NAGVA B Level)

A Level: All teams run a 5-1 or 6-2 offense. Teams have specialized positions (Setter, Pin Hitters, Middles, etc.) and unforced errors should be extremely rare. Play is very polished and (in general) offensive tempo is quicker than what it is in BB. This is the most competitive level of play offered by the league. (NAGVA BB or Better)

Team Registration is currently FULL. If you are a team looking to register please sign your team up and you will be added to the wait list. There is no guarantee that your team will have a spot, but if capacity and time allows we MAY open up a 4th hour and add all the teams on the wait list.
